About Coastal Skies Aero Club
Where Dreams Take Flight
Founded in 2014 by Kirk Taylor, Coastal Skies Aero Club (CSAC) began as a traditional aero club, providing private pilots with convenient access to aircraft without the expense and responsibility of ownership. Members paid nominal monthly dues for 24/7 access to a small fleet of aircraft, allowing them to fly on their own schedule.
Where Passion Meets Purpose
As demand grew, CSAC expanded its services to include flight training by partnering with certified flight instructors. What began as informal, instructor-led training has since evolved into a structured program supported by the Club, offering students a more consistent and comprehensive learning experience.
About Coastal Skies Maintenance
Aircraft maintenance and repairs are performed onsite at Pearland Regional Airport by its sister company, Coastal Skies Maintenance (CSMX). With CSAC as its primary customer and both operations located on the same airfield, maintenance services are highly responsive—helping maximize aircraft availability while maintaining the highest standards of safety. CSMX employs certified A&P and IA mechanics, along with skilled apprentices, all committed to safe and reliable operations.
A Fleet That Inspires Confidence
From its early days with just a handful of members, CSAC has grown to serve approximately 350 members today (and still growing!). Despite this growth, membership dues have remained remarkably stable, increasing by only $10 over the past 12 years. The Club now offers a modern, state-of-the-art flight simulator and a fleet of 12 well-equipped Cessna and Piper aircraft.
More Than a School—A Community
CSAC’s instructional team includes many highly qualified instructors, all of whom are CFII-certified, with several also holding MEI credentials. Supported by a Chief Pilot and Assistant Chief Pilot, the team delivers a structured, high-quality curriculum across all training programs. CSAC currently offers training for Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, and CFII certifications.
