Private Pilot Program

The Private Pilot Program is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge, technical skills, and practical experience required to safely operate an aircraft and earn a Private Pilot Certificate. This program combines ground school instruction with hands-on flight training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of aviation principles and real-world flying proficiency.

Program Structure: Ground & Sky

Students will learn essential topics such as aerodynamics, weather theory, navigation, flight planning, airspace regulations, and aircraft systems. Ground instruction is complemented by flight training with certified flight instructors, where students develop core piloting skills including takeoffs and landings, aircraft control, emergency procedures, and cross-country navigation.

The Path to Proficiency: Meeting FAA Standards

Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on safety, decision-making, and situational awareness. Students will log the required flight hours, including solo and dual instruction, in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards. While the FAA minimum flight time requirement for a Private Pilot Certificate is 40 hours, the national average for completion typically ranges between 65 and 70 hours, depending on individual progress and training frequency.
