Spin training is one of the most valuable experiences a pilot can receive. At Coastal Skies Aero Club, our spin training program is designed to improve aircraft control, increase stall awareness, and teach the skills necessary to recognize, avoid, and recover from spins safely.

Loss of control accidents often begin with an unrecognized stall or improper coordination. Through professional instruction and hands-on flight training, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of aircraft aerodynamics and develop confidence throughout the aircraft’s flight envelope.

Whether you are just building foundational flight habits or training future aviators, spin training delivers invaluable confidence and advanced stick-and-rudder skills. While required for flight instructor candidates, mastering spin entry, recognition, and recovery benefits every pilot committed to absolute flight safety and precise aircraft control.

FAA CFI Spin Endorsement

FAA regulations require Flight Instructor applicants to receive training in spin entry, spins, spin recovery procedures, and spin awareness before taking the CFI practical test. Our instructors provide the required training and endorsement for qualified applicants.

Cost

  • Current Members- Aircraft hobbs time plus CFI time
  • Non-Members- $500
  • What’s Included: 1 hour ground instruction, 2-hour flight block
